Weather

Cartagena de Indias has a tropical weather; warm and humid. Its average temperature is 27ºC (80ºF). The rainy season goes from May through November, with maximum rainfall in October. Annual average precipitation is 926 mm. But don’t worry: after the rain is gone, the temperature will always be perfect for swimming or for a stroll around the city… in shorts and sandals!

Dress Code

Cartagena's weather during October is humid and hot. Even so, most of the night clubs, hotel and restaurants have air conditioning. The temperature inside the Convention Center is very cold since the air conditioning has to be very high for the maintenance of the flowers; so be sure to bring a light coat or a sweater and also stockings.

Please check in advance with the Colombian Consulate or Embassy if you need a visa to enter the country.

Transportation

Transportation from the Cartagena airport to the hotels and from the hotels to the Convention Center is available. PROFLORA offers different schedules to fit our visitor’s needs. However, Cartagena is a very small city, so distances are short and taxi service is indeed economical.
