Proflora invites you to participate in Proflora`s first Golf Tournament. This sporting event will take place one day before the inauguration of Proflora on the golf course of Clun El Rincón de Cajicá. Exhibitors and international buyers will be pitted against each other in the course, where they will be able to show off their real competitive drive.

Indeed, Proflora 2009 will launch a new platform to do business: The first matchmaking forum within the framework of the fair. It is matchmaking forum between exhibiting flowers growers and international flower buyers.

| OPENING CEREMONY |
| The opening ceremony of the 10th edition of Proflora (2009) will take place on the 30th of September, at 11:00 am in the Corferias Conference Hall. Business attire is suggested; high-level officials of the Colombian and local government are expected to attend the ceremony. |

| TECHNICAL CONTEST - VARIETIES COMPETITION |
Only growers and breeders exhibiting their products may participate in this contest. National and international cut flowers experts will be the members of the jury. Judging will be presided over by Mr. Gerard de Wagt, Coordinator of the Judge Commission of the contests held in Hortifair, Holland.
The contest is divided into two categories:
Flower quality technical contest for growers: This category is for exhibiting flower growers. Varieties are judged and ranked. There is one winner for each variety and a Grand Champion.
Flower quality technical contest for breeders: This category is only for exhibiting companies. Contest entrants are limited to new varieties that have not been commercialized in the international markets yet. First, second, and third places are awarded and a Grand Champion is selected. The Overall Champion of the exhibition is selected from participants in both categories.
In PROFLORA 2007, 540 varieties participated in the Technical Contest. The winners were:
- Great Championship: Flores de Funza, with Alstroemeria “Cairo”.
- Grower Championship: Flores de Funza, with Alstroemeria “Cairo”.
- Obtentor Championship: Bartels Stek, with Aster “Caitlyn”.

| CLOSING PARTY |
| The closing party is a tradition in Proflora. This time it will be held on Friday, 2nd October from 9:00 p.m. to 2 am. This is a very informal event, so comfortable shoes and clothes are recommended. Proflora will offer transportation service between the hotels and the party venue from 8:30 p.m. Buses will return to the hotels between 12:00 midnight and 2:00 a.m. |
